Female intimate plastic surgery includes interventions performed on the labia minora or labia majora, as well as vaginal tightening. At our clinic, we only perform intimate plastic surgery for changes due to enlargement or asymmetry of the labia minora.
This type of plastic surgery, unilateral or bilateral labiaplasty, provides a solution to these problems, during which we remove the excess tissues, thereby reducing the size and eliminating any asymmetry, thus achieving an appropriate functional and aesthetic result. Labia minora plasty surgery is necessary when the oversized labia minora causes problems or frustration for the patient, which may rub against the clothes, or in certain cases it can even be downright painful. An intimate plastic surgery can completely solve a psychological problem that has lasted for many years or decades.
The relaxation of the vaginal muscles and the decrease in their firmness may justify vaginal tightening, because this problem is very personal and can often cause sexual problems. Like many other treatments, this procedure can also be combined with another, or even several, plastic surgery procedures at once, during the treatment period. In the case of liposuction, for example, we often combine the procedure with refilling with your own fat, e.g. wrinkle filling, lip filling.
When patients have already decided on the need for surgical correction, they can make an appointment with us. After we have agreed on a date, a thorough briefing, the first consultation provides information about what solutions may be considered in a given case for the best, beautiful result. At the same time, we can discuss what examinations are recommended or necessary to be performed as needed. Regardless of whether it is a surgery that can be performed under local anesthesia or general anesthesia, preliminary examinations are necessary in all cases for safety reasons. You should think of a comprehensive examination such as laboratory tests, ECG, among others. Since it is a surgery that is not performed internally, but in a visible place, which affects the external genitalia, it means that a gynecological examination may also be necessary.
What happens during the surgery?
Labia minora plasty can be performed under local anesthesia or, if desired, under general anesthesia. We create the desired shape by excising the unnecessary parts, then sew the wound together, thus closing the procedure. In the case of absorbable sutures, there is no need for suture removal after this. The procedure takes about an hour.
It is also possible to perform combined surgeries at once, or more precisely under one anesthesia, with other plastic surgery procedures, about which you can also inquire with us personally.
The wounds heal in about two weeks, and the final shape develops after two to three weeks. Depending on the type and extent of the procedure we are talking about, the course of healing may change, how many days, how long the healing time is, and the medical check-up. The check-up takes place 2-3 days after the surgery. The surgical area cannot be reached by water for a week, but it is very important to pay attention to intimate hygiene! You should avoid strenuous activities for at least two weeks, and gradually return to your usual rhythm of life.
The area may swell. If swelling is observed, you develop a fever or other unusual complaints, please contact us!
